What happens once work is agreed?
You don't need a meeting just to get your quote — but once you're happy with the price, we start with a quick phone call. After that, if it helps, we can set up a Zoom or Teams call whenever you'd like to talk things through face to face. First, we agree the spec and site map together. I then create the visual designs based on our initial discussions, so you have a real say in how your website looks — it's shaped around you and your business, not just handed to you. From there, you'll get access to your own client portal, where you can:
  • See the agreed site map
  • Review and comment on the designs and page structure
  • Upload your content and images
  • Request changes
  • Track progress as it happens
Are these bespoke websites, or built from templates?
Every website I build is bespoke — designed from scratch around your business, not dropped onto an off-the-shelf WordPress theme that thousands of other sites already use. That means your site looks and works exactly how you want, stands apart from your competitors rather than blending in, loads faster without the bloat that comes bundled with templates, and is far easier to extend as your business grows.
Are they mobile compatible?
Yes. I make sure every website is fully compatible across mobile, tablet and desktop — so you don't have to worry about that.
How does payment work?
A 50% deposit gets the work started. The remaining 50% is due once your website is complete on the development server and you're ready to take it live.
Do I get ongoing support?
Yes. You get 30 days of free support after launch — if anything isn't working quite right, I'll put it straight at no extra cost.
Who owns the website once it's complete?
You do. Once the website is paid in full, you — the client — fully own the website and everything related to it.
What about hosting?
Your choice. You can keep your own hosting, or move it across to mine.
Can you keep my site updated with regular blog posts?
Yes, through a separate product I run called Ghost. It automatically publishes fresh content to your website every week — based on your products, services and business keywords — to keep your site active and visible in Google search results. Completely automated and hands-free: set and forget.
What happens to my old website's links?
If you already have a website, we make sure all your old URLs are redirected properly to the matching pages on your new site — so you keep your search rankings and nobody lands on a broken link.
What happens when my site goes live?
Once your new site is live, we submit your sitemap to Google for indexing, so your pages start appearing in search results as quickly as possible.
What if I want more work done after the initial quote?
Yes, I take on ongoing work — we can talk it all through on the call. It's £50 per hour.
What if I have a problem with my website?
If I host your website and it turns out to be a hosting issue, I'll deal with the hosting provider directly and make sure it's resolved as quickly as possible — then let you know as soon as it's sorted.
